I want to share something that recently happened to me... It was slow and quiet last Saturday morning. Andy & I drank our coffee and enjoyed a leisurely morning. My phone dinged and I looked at the message. My dear friend Patty had sent me a video that her son Grayson had sent her. He was driving east on highway 56 in Sherman and captured a video of an incredibly long line of cars waiting to pick up a box of food from Master Key Ministries at the parking lot of Texoma Christian School. He was so struck in the moment of tremendous need that he sent his mother a text simply saying "We are so blessed and I can't even imagine." It stirred Patty to share with a group of our friends. I honestly was so moved by the video that it took Andy and I a minute to discuss through our tears.
My day proceeded as normal and I had a meeting with a client later in the day. We discussed Thanksgiving, our plans with family and things we were grateful for. I felt prompted to share the video with him. Through tears and a smile he asked me who was providing food to all of these people. The cost and the need seemed insurmountable to him. I explained about Master Key Ministries and he said he wanted to help. He then proceeded to get out his checkbook and wrote an amazingly generous check. I have the sweet pleasure to give that check to Julie Rickey, the executive director, at church this Sunday. The most beautiful part of this story is the joy and privilege to see God's hand at work in "the ripple" effect. You see every thought and action is an energy that moves forward in the positive or negative. How fun to see a glimpse of it in action. May we all be aware of our part in being able to spread light through what we think might be small insignificant actions!

Give Thanks
Give thanks with a greatful heart;
Give thanks to the Holy One.
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say "I am strong";
Let the poor say "I am rich".
Because of what the Lord has done for us,
Give thanks!
