| It's the 30th and I'm behind! Someone said, "oh, just skip your July newsletter." Ugh, no.... I love keeping you all up to date and in the loop with my comings and goings and the market.
This month we celebrated Andy's 60th birthday. To mark the occasion we took our kids on a family trip to Alaska. After six months of planning, the trip was a beautiful adventure and a wonderful time to be with our daughters and sons-in law. Alaska was absolutely stunning, and to be in down coats and toboggans in July was definitely a first! After a week we said good-bye to the kids, and Andy & I went onto Calgary for a few days. We attended the last day of the Calgary Stampede (the greatest outdoor show on earth), experienced Banff & Lake Louise, fly fished the Bow River and just played like kids.
To unplug, explore, be in nature, and have slow mornings recharges and recenters me. Taking time out to reconnect with my spouse AND to reconnect with myself is something we should all prioritize in this crazy world. I read this recently from Rabbi Visroel Bernath and LOVED IT!
"Someone asked me, 'What's your favorite place?' I replied, 'I don't have a favorite place. I have my favorite people, and whenever I'm with my favorite people, that place becomes my favorite place.'"
There's no better place to be than with Andy, my kids, and my family! They are the bomb! :)
Lord, thank you for the blessing of family and time off to recharge, and for a beautifully created world to play in, love, and enjoy!
